Libby Volgyes is an award-winning food and restaurant photographer based in Hood River, Oregon.
After years working as a photojournalist for The Palm Beach Post, she launched Libby Vision, a food photography studio in 2012.
Today, Volgyes works with restaurants, brands, magazines and on ad campaigns. She is known for an evocative dark and moody style of food photography as well as her powerful beverage photography. Her iconic style and storytelling imagery are sought after by chefs that envision her artistry and imagination in photographing their food. She understands chefs – their creativity, innovation and they understand her.
Volgyes moved to Hood River from West Palm Beach, Fla. during the pandemic to find a cure for her husband’s Traumatic Brain Injury. She went back to school, studied psychedelic therapy and fixed her husband’s brain through Ibogaine therapy after he suffered for eight years without relief. After this journey, they stayed in the quiet mountain town and bought a 1903 Craftsman Home, in love with Oregon, Hood River and a quieter pace of life.
In spring of 2019, her personal project Faces of Food was selected to exhibit at the Food Photo Festival in Vejle, Denmark where her work was a finalist for the FoodPhoto Feature Award 2019.

Pati Barreto, Assistant
Pati Barreto hails from Brazil by way of Savannah, cinnamon rolls and roads fueled with espresso.
She joined Libby Vision in June of 2019 and none of us have never been the same (for the better!)
She attended Miami Ad School in 2006 and Savannah College of Art and Design in 2010, focusing on photography advertising. She currently lives in Brickell. When she’s not taking photos, Barreto practices Capoeira, Jiu-jitsu and other insane forms of workouts. She likes eating burgers and petting dogs.
